The
places where the
fierce fighting with insurgents take place
in the capital Mogadishu Saturday has been reported calm
The
situation of the places where the dreadful combat occurred yesterday is
reported calm today.
Though
Ethiopian military maneuvers could be seen moving up and down on the 30th
and the heart streets which pass the northern and the southern side Bakara
district.
The
fight yesterday started along the 30th street and then later escalated to
several other parts of the city.
The
situation is calm apart from sporadic gunshot fired by the Somali government
soldiers and their Ethiopian ally.
However
the movement of people entering Bakara Bazaar was not visible and the
presences of these Ethiopian soldiers have extinguished the booming activities
in the bazaar which is the largest commercial center
Somalia.
Corpses
lying on the ground could be seen in several destinations where the awful
combat occurred yesterday.
The
public vehicles could not be seen carrying passengers towards the market,
although there were some people trapped inside the market.
So far
there no comments from the government side regarding about this combat of
yesterday which said to be the longest war in months the death toll of this
combat is to have reached 10 and 40 wounded according to medical sources.
Meanwhile wide spread looting is taken palce in the bazaar market where Most
civilians fled the area for personal safety, including the traders.
