One of the responsible of Karan district contacted Somaliweyn radio through the telephone line and confirmed for that he is no longer holding any post for the Somali transitional federal government.

The officer Mohamed Ali said that he meets constant threats through his cell phone and no caller uses strong words of peril.

Normally most of the prominent individuals in the city meet frequent threatening calls from unknown persons.

Mohamed also added that the main thing that has forced him to quit is for the sake of the safety of life and that of his family.

"The other main issue that has compelled me to resign so quickly is an advice from my parents" said Mohamed. Mohamed was the chief of a section of Karan district in northern Mogadishu.

Mohamed was asked if at all he is ready to hold this post in case he is a pointed for the post next time he explicitly said there is no one time he will hold any governmental post again.
