Mareeg.com-Somalia’s most radical Islamist group Al-Shabab took the two French hostages into the country’s far-southern jungle area of Juba region bordering with Kenya day after the militants forcefully seized the French men from the hands of Hizbul Islam led by Hassan Dahir Aweys, reports say on Sunday.

The kidnapping operation on the two French men was carried out by the former Islamic Courts militia supporting the government who are now under the command of minister of interior Abdukadir Ali Omar. Reports are confirming the militiamen are hailing from Omar’s Seleban sub-clan of Habargidir clan.

How the French men abducted?
It was early morning, the kidnappers parked a battle-wagon and other small car at the front of the Safahi hotel and then they disarmed the gun man guarding the Hotel’s entrance by hoax way.

They directly headed the room of the two French officers in the Hotel where they easily took them into their battle-wagon as the African Union peacekeepers were some meters away from the Hotel. The French men were later handed to Hizbul Islam group.

The Kidnapping plan was jointly plan by the driver of the battle-wagon and the commander of the soldiers loyal to the government’s interior minister.

The soldiers did know nothing about the operation but they later came to know when the two French men picked out of the hotel and they made blockage against their commander until he was captured by the government troops but the driver of the war-vehicle escaped with the hostages.
The militiamen brought the French hostages to Hizbul Islam in Mogadishu but days after they were seized by Al-Shabab hardliners.

Does Interior minister aware ?
Investigation carry out by mareeg reporter and Waagacusub Media has conform that the minister of interior in the current government Abdukadir Ali Omar did not know about the act of the kidnapping on the two French men that fallen in the hands of the Al-Shabab terror group.

The rebel groups is putting Omar under propaganda news that he was responsible of the kidnapping on the two French men to give bad image about his reputation within the government and bring him against the president Sharif Sheik Ahmed but it is undeniable that some of his closest clan men worked out such discredit.

Fighting for distancing the allegation out his circle, Omar arrested all the soldiers involving in the kidnapping mission except the driver who earlier escaped into Hizbul Islam.
