Sejass chairman strongly condemns IFJ’S nepotism against Somali journalists.

The chairman of Somali Exiled Journalists Association known as SEJASS Mohamed Abdullahi Adan (SIIDII) has strongly condemned the statement issued by Secretary general of International Federation of Journalists known as (IFJ) Aden White for making nepotism by attacking the Somali journalists and threatening them while using unfounded and baseless statements copied from an reliable sources which we thought he got from people who don’t entirely represent the rights and the voice of Somali journalists but there only for ruining and violating the rights of Somali journalists as whole, these people also do extravagant trips while the some genuine journalists are dying back there home.

The chair man also expressed his disappointment about the statement from a respectful man from international organization to use this harsh language and low his reputation

The chairman also encourages Mr. Aden White to stop interfering Somali Journalists matters since it is their matters and ready to solve their differences in open way but they don’t need an outsider to interfere them.

The chairman wishes also that in the interference of IFJ continues that will damage the relationship between IFJ and Somali Journalists as whole, because we still do respect IFJ and wish to work with them anyway we can.

The chairman admits that NUSOJ as an existing organization but that doesn’t mean that it is the only organization that represents the Somali journalists in both inside and in exile, as hinted out Aden White which is absolutely not true.

The chairman finally welcomes any international organization that defends rights and protects the ethics of journalism that SEJASS will positively work with them and wish to co-operate at any matter but will not tolerate if they intervene Somali journalists matters, any criticism and suggestions will highly be appreciated but making diversity and creating nepotism among Somali journalist will not acceptable.
