NAIROBI (Mareeg)—Abdullahi Hassan Ali known as Danam died in a jail in Bosasso town under the administration of Puntland after he has been interrogated and became sick in the prison, witnesses said on Tuesday.
Abdulalhi was among five other Somalis from eastern Ethiopia inhabited by Somalis and Puntland security forces captured them from a boat they were traveling.
Confirmed reports said Abdullahi became ill in the prison and the soldiers interrogated and tortured him while he was in the jail.
Puntland Authority was accused of handing Somalis from eastern Ethiopia to the Ethiopian government and then they are killed in Ethiopia.
Officials of Puntland administration in north eastern Somalia denied the accusations.
