Somalia: Somali Prime Minister returns home
MOGADISHU (Mareeg)—Somali Prime Minister, Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, has returned to Mogadishu o n Tuesday after a trip he has been to some countries in Europe and Africa.
Mr. Sharmarke has been welcomed in Mogadishu airport, where the security has been tightened by the African Union troops in the capital Mogadishu.
A convoy of African Union peacekeepers known as AMISOM escorted the prime minister to the presidential palace.
Prime Minister Sharmarke has been in Britain and Belgium where he met with high ranking officials of those countries.
The Prime Minister has not given reports about his trip to the press yet
The delegation led by Mr. Sharmarke was looking for the money pledged in Brussels by donor countries in April this year.
