Somalia: Dead body found in prison
GALKAYO (Mareeg)—The body of civilian man has been found in a prison in Galkayo, the regional capital of Mudug region, in central Somalia, witnesses on Sunday.
The security forces of Puntland have made operations in several neighborhoods in the town and arrested more people.
The reason behind the death of the civilian man in the prison is not known, but it is suspected that the police interrogated and tortured the man.
One civilian man died in a jail in Bosasso in Puntland after the police tortured him last year.
The police accused the people they have arrested of being behind the insecurity that has been growing in the town.
